Julie Bossidy: After graduating from New Canaan High School, Julie received a Bachelor's of Early Childhood Education. Julie currently resides in New Canaan with her husband and four children. In her free time, Julie enjoys sports, watching movies and going to the beach on Nantucket.
Jane Brennan: Born and raised in New Canaan, Jane married her high school sweetheart and now has 2 children and 3 grandsons in the area! Jane's mother owned the school that eventually became Toddlertime. She has been teaching at Toddlertime for over 25 years (we’ve stopped keeping track).
Lisa Brown: A graduate of both Sacred Heart undergrad and graduate school, Lisa comes to us with a Master's in Teaching. After graduating, Lisa worked at South School where one of our moms met her and immediately called us to recommend her. Thanks for the tip Becky-we're thrilled to have Lisa joining us this fall. Lisa worked with us during summer camp so she already knows her way around!
Diane Coleman: Having been at Toddlertime for over 25 years, Diane one of our Toddlertime matriarchs. There is no doubt about it~ Diane love babies (she even collects baby dolls!). Diane's other passion is dogs and guess what--she breeds them! There's that baby theme, again. With two of her children getting married this year, I see more babies in her future.
Katrina Conde: Born and raised in Maine and passionate about running, swimming and biking, Katrina is looking forward to sharing her love for the great outdoors and science with her students. A certified teacher, with a Master's in Elementary Education and a goal of being a certified Literacy Specialist, Katrina has worked with students in kindergarten through fifth grade most recently at West Elementary. Katrina gives back to her community by tutoring and mentoring economically disadvantaged children. Katrina lives in New Canaan with her two daughters and her husband, Juan.
Andrea Dunnam: Many of you may know Andrea and her family as the ADA Ambassador Family of Fairfield County but she has also been a member of the Toddlertime family for over 5 years. When she isn't teaching or raising awareness of diabetes, she is on the tennis courts or spending time with her husband and two children. Andrea is a lifelong resident of New Canaan.
Nancy Ferullo: Another New Canaan High School alum, Nancy is celebrating her 21st year teaching preschool! Nancy is currently applying to graduate programs in teaching/administration. When she isn't teaching preschool or running the Town of Stamford's After School Programs and Camps, Nancy enjoys BBQ's on the beach and spending time with her family and friends. Fun fact about Nancy-she loves gorillas!
Mary Freiberg: Mary's passion for education is obvious. She has a Master's in Education, is on the New Canaan Board of Education and is fluent in French and Spanish. Mary also enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, gardening, traveling, running, swimming and cooking. If you frequent the Farmers' Market you may recognize Mary and her children as Fido's favorite stop-they sell homemade dog biscuits!
Judy Gilroy: Judy hardly needs an introduction after growing up in New Canaan and working in the public school system for 15 years. We are thrilled to have her exuberant energy at Toddlertime. When Judy isn't pursuing early education classes, she is spending time with her husband Tom, walking their two dogs Frankie & Annie and volunteering.
Susan Hosack: Susan is a parenting consultant, child development specialist and early childhood teacher with over 20 years experience. Susan holds a Master's in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor's in Music Education. Susan recently moved from St. Louis to Ridgefield and enjoys exploring the Connecticut trails with her two Australian Shepherds, Wolfie and Augie. Susan also enjoys Scrabble and other word games.
Cindy Lyman: Cindy has her Master's Degree in Early Education from Manhattanville. She lives in New Canaan with husband and two children, both Toddlertime graduates. Cindy has taught all our age groups but she is most passionate about being a 3's teacher. She also enjoys baking, reading, needlepoint and travel. If you're lucky, you may get to sample one of her homemade jams, butters or pretzel clusters!
Whitney McCarthy: Whitney loves to explore with her husband, Ted, and three children. You can often find her on the sidelines of the soccer field with a map out plotting her next road trip. Whitney also enjoys sailing, cooking, gardening and reading. With her Master's in Education from Columbia Teachers College and her bachelor's degree from Princeton, she's going to give our little 2's the best possible start!
Elyse Mendelson: Elyse originally came to Toddlertime for summer camp 2010 and then again in 2011 and wowed the children and staff with her melodic voice which was best described by a three year old as ?sounding like a princess?. Having worked in early child development while at Carnegie Mellon and the University of Houston, Elyse is thrilled to have the opportunity to combine her two passions -music and working with children. Elyse will be an assistant in the fours and our music teacher. When Elyse isn't singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", she is pursuing her vocal career in opera. A native from Western Pennsylvania, Elyse is happy to now call New Canaan her home.
Marnie Miller: Marnie spent the first 35 years of her life in NYC before heading out to New Canaan with her husband and three girls. They soon added a crazy Golden Retriever, Daisy, to their family and haven't looked back to city life. She jumped right into New Canaan volunteering at South, Saxe and the Garden Club. Marnie has her Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Ohio Wesleyan and a Master's of Science in Education from Bank Street College in NYC. She taught at the Brearley School for seven years and in their admissions department for an additional 8 years. We're sure NYC misses her but we are thrilled she chose to make New Canaan home.
Lindsay Minichino: Lindsay is a recent graduate from the University of Rhode Island. She grew up a few miles away in Greenwich. Lindsay told us that she always knew she wanted to be a teacher and when you see her work with our five day fours, you know that's true. Lindsay enjoys the beach, her family and friends.
Katherine Ong: From the great state of Texas, Katherine is a loyal alum of Texas A&M with a “can do” attitude. Katherine moved to Connecticut for “just two years” ten years ago and while she returns to her roots frequently, we think she’s here to stay. Katherine served on the South School PTC Executive Board for five years with the last two as President. Katherine lives in New Canaan with her husband and two children both Toddlertime graduates and is often spotted vacationing with the friends she made while a Toddlertime mom.
Lisa Socci: Lisa is a mom of 4. Nobody knows where she finds free time but she says that in her free time she enjoys cooking, running and reading. Lisa is currently working with our 2's but loves children of all ages. She is also trained as a post-partum doula.
Vivianna Torres: Vivianna is a native of Costa Rica where she received her Bachelor's in Pre-School Education and a Master's in Special Education. Since moving to the US 5 years ago, she worked at Camp Playland and for the past four years at South School in the pre-school program. If we ever hold the Toddlertime Olympics, make sure Vivianna is on your team. She has represented Costa Rica in various international and Olympic events and holds the current record on the 200m back-stroke! Vivianna is a new mom and will be teaching our Pre-K class.
Cindy Willbee: Cindy comes to us from the great white north and with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Originally a Canadian citizen, she became a dual citizen of the USA six years ago. Cindy loves to spend her free time biking and walking all over Wilton (sometimes at really early hours).
Katy Young: Now in her third year at Toddlertime. Katy came to us by popular demand after subbing and remains with us by popular demand. Her smile and enthusiasm is infectious and she loves to chat it up with the kids. If you're looking for Katy around school, she's the "big kid" that always has a smile on her face.
